Join us for a tour of redeveloped brownfield properties within the “Jewel City”. Stop One is The Prichard Building, a 13-story historic structure built in the 1920’s as a luxury hotel, which today, after decades of neglect, is home to affordable housing for seniors, community health clinic, community space, and businesses. Stop 2 will be a drive-by past the new Williams Fire Station, once a closed gas station and abandoned dry cleaner property. Stop 3 will be at the Former ACF Industries and associated properties, consisting of three separate new developments: the Marshall University Advanced Manufacturing Robotic Welding & Robotics Center (under construction and scheduled to be opened by October 2026), the Kroger Marketplace (construction starting later in 2026), and the Marshall University Jack Cook Baseball Stadium. Fact Sheets on each site will be provided to all attendees.

This mobile workshop occurs on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Participants can check in at 1:30 PM. The tour departs at 2 PM.
